Air Max 85

A story which is now embedded in sneaker folklore, the building famously inspired Tinker Hatfield’s design for the Air Max 1, which features an air window that took design cues from the Pompidou Centre’s iconic inside-out design. On Saturday night – the eve of Air Max Day – Nike debuted a brand new film using projection-mapping on the exterior of the building soundtracked by a new song by French rapper, Joke, titled “Vision.”The presentation was a part of Air Max Day celebrations around the world, including events in Moscow, Bangkok, Shanghai, London and more.See a clip of the projection above, and you can also check out our live coverage of the projection below. Some sneaker trends in Russia arrive a little bit later compared to London or New York, for instance, but kids still look up to trendy skaters like the Palace or Supreme skate teams.

You can go to Berlin or Copenhagen and you’ll see the same thing, which is 70% of the audience wearing classics like the Stan Smith. People are ready for changes, but changes don’t happen instantly. I like that in Moscow, lots of people started to gravitate towards the classics.I use eBay for retros or old releases. Local stores I can point out are Sneakerhead,BELIEF, Mint and Kixbox. The last trainers I bought were the adidas Trimm Trab from size? in London. I like casual adidas classics, and sometimes I hunt for them on eBay. In Russia it’s hard to find the adidas Kegler Super or Forest Hills, so I buy them abroad. For skate shoes, I usually shop for Vans at Boardshop №1.Most of my sneakers I grabbed at FOTT. Obviously I bought some rare models online that were not available in Russia. The pairs that I bought were the Coca-Cola x adidas Climacool and the Primeknit EQTs.

The Nike Air Max Zero, originally a scrapped design of what eventually became the Air Max 1, was released last year because, well, anything dreamed up by Tinker Hatfield is sure to be a runaway success. Now, the U.S. sportswear giant is set to release the Zero in a new yellow colorway.Said to have been taken straight from Tinker’s sketches, this new colorway is exactly the same as the original one, except that the parts of the sneaker that were black on the initial release, such as the mesh, Swoosh and socket, have been turned to yellow. The vibrancy of the colorway makes it an ideal addition to your summer sneaker repertoire.
